Description

The pleurisy plant, also known as butterfly milkweed, is a perennial herb with orange flowers that is native to the Great Plains. The pleurisy plant can grow to be 1.5–2.5 feet tall and has stout, hairy stems and dark green leaves. Its name also comes from the flower’s ability to attract the insect with its heavy production of nectar.
