Welcoming Our New Apprentice, William

We’re excited to introduce William, the newest apprentice to join the Mimea team! Eager to gain hands-on experience and expand his knowledge of botanicals, he’s looking forward to learning new skills and growing within the company. Join us in welcoming him to the team!

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

Hi, I’m William, I’m 18 and I joined the company approximately three months ago. My favourite past times are football and gaming.

What sparked your interest in botanicals and the natural products industry?

I did work experience here and really liked the job and learning more about the products and their uses.

What attracted you to this program with Mimea?

I wanted to gain more experience in my role, obtain my forklift licences and achieve a qualification.

What skills or knowledge are you most eager to develop through this program?

I’d like to develop my knowledge of the products.

Where do you see yourself in the next few years, particularly in this industry?

Still working here!

What do you hope to learn from your colleagues and mentors at Mimea?

I’d like to learn different techniques, such as customer service standards, inventory management, and health and safety. I’m also looking forward to developing my I.T. skills.

What’s your favourite way to spend time in nature?

I enjoy going to the lake and doing a bit of fishing.

What’s your favourite botanical or natural ingredient, and why?

Orange and lemon slices because they smell nice!

William is undertaking the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship programme. The programme focuses on developing learners skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to thrive in the warehouse and logistics sectors. Covering health and safety, teamwork, and technical skills.
